To all Parents and Guardians of children at Springwell School. It is a pleasure for me as Chairperson of the Governing Body of Springwell School to commend this prospectus of our school. In a few pages, it describes school as a place where your son or daughter will be encouraged to learn for life and achieve their full potential. Parents are the hinge pin of the team approach and an open door policy encourages parents and friends to visit school at any time and play an active part in school life. There are also opportunities for your children to be involved after school. As well as a computer, art and sports club Springwell has many partners across the town including the Belle Vue Centre run by Families First and Oscars Playscheme. Governors are always open to suggestions for further activities. Governors are also grateful to the many and varied donations from families and businesses across the town. Recently a state of the art sensory room has been installed which was paid for by The Dow Chemical Company Limited and a new minibus from donations across Hartlepool. Parents are also welcome to stand for election to the Governing Body which shapes the running of the school.
