21.3.25- Llamas loved our messy play session today and engaged in our carwash tuff tray. They explored the water, shaving foam, sand and soil. and enjoyed making tracks and washing the cars.
21.3.25- Red Nose Day fun!
19.3.25- Communication, Language & Literacy/Expressive Arts- We loved exploring the different animals from our 'Panda Bear, Panda Bear What do you see?' story and then printing black and white using potatoes!
18.3.25- Physical Development- We had fun climbing and moving around the equipment at the park this morning!
17.3.25- St Patrick's Day! Llamas enjoyed exploring green sensory tray filled with rice, glitter and coins! They made cakes and decorated them with shamrocks!
14.3.25- RE- Llamas loved taking part in the whole school 'Holi Festival' A hindu festival celebrating colour!
13.3.25- Physical development We enjoyed rebound therapy and working on our targets today, bouncing and relaxing on the bed.
12.3.25- British Science Week & Springwell's Science Day - Llamas had lots of fun exploring, discovering and observing different sensory based scientific experiments linked to our current topic of Extreme Earth!
7.3.25- Expressive Arts & Design (Art) : Llamas used forks to print with ready to make their own Panda bears.
5.3.25- Expressive Art & Design (Music) - LLamas used PECS to communicate which instrument they would like.to use during our rhyme time songs.
6.3.25- World Book day 2025! - Llamas have enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book character and exploring lots of different new books!
4.3.25- Pancake day! We made, explored and tasted pancakes, choosing our own toppings with PECS.
20.2.25- Literacy, Communication & Language - 'On The Moon' sensory story. Llamas enjoyed exploring the props (moon, rocket, spaceship, astronauts) and learning the Makaton signs for ' space rocket' and 'moon'
14.2.25- Valentines day activities- We had lots of fun exploring red sensory trays, tasting red fruits, making heart cupcakes and edible love bugs!
13.2.25- PSHRE- Llamas have been developing our interactional skills and playing alongside each other in different activities and environments.
11.2.25- Mathematics - Exploring our colour of the week - pink! We played matching games, collaged lots of different pink materials and enjoyed sensory play with pink shaving foam!
10.2.25- In cookery today we made an Elmer the elephant cake and took turns to decorate it with different coloured icing and sprinkles!
7.2.25- Mathematics- We celebrated 'Number Day' and enjoyed participating in lots of fun number activities. We enjoyed posting our coins into the correct slots, dressing up as digits and even dressed up in number hats! Some of us watched numberblocks and some of us enjoyed matching our numbered Elmer elephants to the correct numicon pieces.
6.2.25 - Art- We used sponges to print some patchwork patterns linked to our Elmer story.
5.1.25- Communication, language & literacy- Elmer in the Snow sensory story- We had lots of fun exploring the sensory props from the story, having snowball fights like Elmer and skating across the pond.
3.2.25- Cookery- Llama's took turns in cookery to mix the ingredients, roll out the dough and cut out elephant shapes before decorating them to look like Elmer the Elephant.
31.01.25- Physical Development - Llamas enjoyed a sensory, relaxing TACPAC session.
29.01.25- Understanding the World - Chinese New Year! Llamas enjoyed food tasting and messy play with flavoured dry/wet rice and noodles!
27.01.25- Love of reading- Some of our children enjoying sharing books with others!
20.1.25- PSHRE- Llamas enjoyed participating in fun 'colour of the week' parachute games as a group. They played together nicely on the same equipment and took it in turns to throw the balls and joined in with differernt songs.
13.1.25- Today we made Polar Bear cakes related to our story 'Polar Bear, Polar Bear What Do You Hear?'
10.1.25- Expressive Art - We used forks to print white paint to make polar bears!
7.1.24- Maths- Exploring the colour blue through different blue objects and independent painting with blue paint.
