WB 20.4.27:

Happy first week back! The children enjoyed listening to the new class story this week called Fox's Socks. They explored the props attached to the story and made requests using symbols to ask for the different objects. The children loved trying on all the clothes from the story and really enjoyed the Jack-In-The-Box!

 

WB 27.4.26:

This week, the children made their own musical instruments in DT. We filled up socks from our class story with rice, lentils, cereals and other bits and tied them off and decorated them with fabric pens. The children then enjoyed shaking them around and listening to the noises they made in a music session. We had lots of fun!

 

WB 5.5.26:

This week the children took part in "No Screens Week", so we didn't have a whiteboard. We have been doing lots of maths activities and lots of singing. The children particularly enjoyed listening to 5 Little Speckled Frogs and watching the frogs splash into the water. We also did some filling and emptying of pots and containers in a water play session outside so we could make the most of the lovely weather.  

 

WB 11.5.26:

This week Zebra class has been making porridge, sitting in different types of chair and enjoyed a trip out on the bus to visit a bed shop linking to Goldilocks and the three bears. The children all tried the porridge and enjoyed the messy sensory play afterwards! 

 

WB 18.5.26:

This week we have had a visit from the music service! We had lots of fun and loved exploring the instruments and listening to the brilliant singing. We also painted some beautiful yellow hair on Goldilocks and painted the fur brown on the bears, using symbols to make colour choices. Have a great half-term break Zebra class! 

 

WB 1.6.26:

Welcome Back Zebras! This week we have been reading 'The 3 Little Pigs'. We have been using straws to huff and puff like the Big Bad Wolf so we have been making lots of mess blowing the flour, chocolate powder, straw, cereal and lots of other materials all over in our sensory sessions. 

 

WB 8.6.26:

Zebra class have enjoyed making artwork to do with "The 3 Little Pigs", they have been trying on the wolf mask and used sound buttons to match corresponding sounds to the objects and animals from the story, we have had some fun computing sessions! 

 

WB 15.6.26:

This week Zebra class have listened to a sensory story all about the rain. They enjoyed getting wet, hiding under umbrellas and exploring rainbow coloured fabrics. Well done!

 

WB 22.6.26:

We have been exploring the prop box sent over from Hartlepool Museum. The children enjoyed playing with old radios, glasses and even an old dial-up telephone! We found lots of fun things in the 1940s Homes Box! 

 

WB 29.6.26:

On Wednesday, the children are visiting their new classes and meeting their new peers, new teacher and new teaching assistants. They are going to have lots of fun, and we can't wait to share with you all when you receive the reports on Friday. Everyone has had a brilliant year! 

 

WB 6.7.26:

This week the children have enjoyed sports day and the brilliant weather! It has been so much fun playing on the bouncy castle and in the water play!

 

WB 13.7.26:

This is our last week! We hope everyone has an amazing summer holiday. I hope all of the Zebras have had a great year and had lots of fun!
