Week commencing 01/09/25 - Zebra Class have had a lovely first week back at school after the summer! All of the children have settled into their new class really well and have enjoyed getting to know their new teacher and staff members. 

We have enjoyed our sensory story which is 'Wow said the Owl'. The children enjoyed listening to the story and exploring the props. We have also enjoyed sensory play this week and exploring our sensory room.

Week commencing 08/09/25 - Zebra Class have had another lovely week this week. The children have enjoyed their TACPAC relaxation session & enjoyed a wonderful outdoor assembly relating to our topic for this term, which is 'colour'. There was lots of different stations to explore such as coloured rice, coloured playdough, coloured pasta and shaving foam. We also went for a lovely walk to the park and explored our local area. 

Week commencing 15/09/25 - Zebra Class have had a fun filled week this week. They have enjoyed an outdoor sensory assembly, a cookery lesson, a trip out on the bus to our local park, swimming and lots of arts & crafts. The lesson that Zebra Class have enjoyed the most this week was RE. In relation to our topic 'colour', the children tried on different coloured religious clothing from different cultures. They also enjoyed exploring the different materials that the clothes were made from. 

Week commencing 22/09/25 - Zebra class have had another fun filled week this week. We have started another new story in literacy called 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?'. The children enjoyed listening to the story and exploring the different props. We have also done lots of different fine motor skills activities such as Squiggle While You Wiggle and Dough Disco. Also this week, the children enjoyed a trip out on the bus to the shops to get some items that were needed for class. The children enjoyed a look around the shop at all of the different items and gave the shop assistant the money at the tills. Finally, in RE this week the children tried some apples and honey, in relation to the jewish new year called Rosh Hashanah. The apples dipped in honey signify a sweet and fruitful new year! 

Week commencing 29/09/25 - Zebra class have had a busy week this week. The children have enjoyed lots of different activities such as art, ICT, music, swimming, rebound therapy and a trip out on the bus to the park. In art, the children made rainbow pictures using different shaped pasta, in relation to our topic 'colour'. In ICT, the children really enjoyed exploring different sound buttons. Each sound button played a different sound and the children could choose which sound they liked the most. During our music lesson, the children enjoyed listening to different nursery rhymes and exploring the different musical instruments. Finally, the children had a trip out on the bus to our local park, they explored all of the different equipment, done lots of exercise but most of all... had lots of fun!

Week commencing 6/10/25 - This week in Zebra Class the children have enjoyed making some pumpkin pictures in art, ready for Halloween. They enjoyed using different coloured paints and sponges to make the different coloured pumpkins. They also enjoyed a PE lesson in the hall, exploring some of the different PE equipment such as the bean bags, balls and the parachute! Zebra Class also went for a trip out on the bus this week to the cemetery, to collect some conkers... it was so much fun!
