Unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye to the amazing Elephant class of 2022! It has been such a fantastic year. We have had so many laughs, experiences and learning opportunities. Hopefully, we can all take them with us to our next chapter. This year has really been special and we have loved being an Elephant class family.
We hope you all have a lovely summer filled with fun and adventures!

We designed a home and thought about the different types of materials we would need to make it. Then we got to it! Just look at how we got on...
Today in literacy, we acted out the story 'Stinky Jack and the Beanstalk'. As you can see, all the children really enjoyed this activity. They each roleplayed a character and definitely looked the part! We love seeing the children's confidence growing standing in front of their peers, we are so proud of them.

We crawled through a small tunnel, under the rocks and through some small holes. We are so proud of ourselves and each other for all of our efforts! We had so much fun and cannot wait to have more outdoor adventures!

This week in Elephants we have went a little Jubilee crazy!

At Throston, we sang the National Anthem and some hymns. At lunchtime, Elephants joined the rest of the school on the yard for an afternoon tea style lunch and had some fun and games. Please feel free to take a look at our Facebook page for lots more photos of our fantastic day!

We hope you enjoyed the assembly as much as we did performing it - even with the slight technical difficulties!
Thursday 3rd March 2022
How amazing do our Elephant's look dressed up? We love all the effort that families have put into making them look as good as they do. Their faces say it all really...

We completed different activities all about ourselves thinking about our favourite foods, colours, books and television shows.

Instead of writing in our English books we acted out our story. Everyone had different parts to play. We definitely have some budding actors!
In maths, we used 100s, 10s and 1s blocks to make different totals. Beats having to write sums in our books.
For computing, we explored the software paint (a trip down memory lane for some of us!). We used the different tools to create our own pictures.
As you can see Elephant Class absolutely loved celebrating Pudsey day. We enjoyed Pudsey arts and crafts and had lots of fun. It was also one of our Elephant cubs birthdays so we enjoyed a party on the afternoon.
