Here you will find information about what we are learning in class and the many exciting events that are coming up throughout the year. We will also use this page to share photographs and videos of your child's learning, interesting lessons, special activities or showing examples of your child's work. In addition to support your child's learning at home, we will share useful websites where we can all work together with your child and have fun!
Koala's Visit to Teesmouth Nature Reserve
Koala class had a very exciting time at the Teesmouth Nature Reserve. We looked at different types of habitats for mini beasts. We explored the local area and found lots of animals and learnt lots of fantastic facts. We also got to build our very own mini beast hotel.
Koala Class trip to Eden Camp
Koala Class have been learning about World War Two as part of our topic. We visited Eden Camp which was a prisoner of war camp during the Second World War. We had a fantastic time and learnt lots of interesting facts about life during this time.
Koala Class West View Project trip to Osmotherley.
Koala class visited Osmotherley with the West View Project to explore our local surroundings. We walked 4.6 miles and learnt how to look after our environment and appreciate nature. We had lovely time !
World Pi day 14th March 2017
Koala class celebrated international Pi day on the 14th March 2017. We participated in outdoor Maths activities and created pies and pizzas in the kitchen. Koala class had lots of fun and learnt lots of new skills.
Scales and Tails Visit to Springwell School
In March we had a visit from Scales and Tails, we looked at lots of different animals including Guinea Pigs, Tortoises and lots more. We really enjoyed the visit and meeting all the animals.
Koala Class visit to RSPB Saltholme
Koala class visited RSPB Saltholme to explore the beautiful surroundings and to learn about habitats and the wildlife that live in them. We did some pond dipping for minibeasts and used our picture sheet to identify what they were. Koala class had a fantastic day and learnt lots about our local nature reserve and the animals that live there.
Summer Term 2017
This terms topic we will be learning about "old and new". We will be having lots of fun and adventures exploring this topic. We can't wait to show you what we have learnt.
