Class Trip to Seaton Carew – 3rd July
As part of our Journeys topic, we took an exciting train ride from the main station to Seaton Carew. The children had a fantastic day enjoying the sunshine, playing on the sand, tucking into chips, and exploring the arcades. It was a fun and memorable adventure before heading back to school by train!
Dear Parents and Carers,
We’re sorry it’s been a little while since our last update — it’s been such a busy and exciting time in Elephant Class that the weeks have flown by!
Since returning, we’ve been diving into all sorts of wonderful adventures. Here’s a little glimpse of what we’ve been up to:
We Went on a Bear Hunt
Our outdoor classroom transformed into an imaginative world of swishy grass, squelchy mud, and swirling snow as we followed the trail of that not-so-scary bear. The children loved exploring story by engaging their senses through themed sensory play.
Picnic Week Fun
We celebrated Picnic Week by making and tasting our very own sandwiches! The children explored textures, smells, and tastes while practising their independence and fine motor skills — and most importantly, had so much fun!
Rio Carnival Music Day
Our classroom was filled with sounds and colour! We explored musical instruments, responded to rhythm and sound, and made colourful masks using paint and sensory materials. The children loved moving to music, banging drums, and watching bright colourful rice fall onto musical instruments.
And that’s just a taste of it! From sensory play and creative crafts to outdoor adventures and storytime magic, Elephant Class has been full of learning, laughter, and connection.
Thank you for your continued support — we can’t wait to share even more with you soon!
With warm wishes,
The Elephant Class Team
