Our story in English this week is I can only draw worms. We have been enjoying the story and created our own versions of it.
Will Mabbitt can only draw worms! Sit alongside Will has he reads from his latest picture book I Can Only Draw Worms. Will is the author of the Mabel Jones series, and brings his distictive style to this hilarious new picture book I Can Only Draw Worms Out January.
We have enjoyed listening to the story 'Season come, Season go Tree' in literacy. We have written some fantastic sentences of our own in our literacy lessons.
Here is Rob reading us a story about a tree that goes through the four seasons. Maybe you could draw a tree for each of the four seasons? We would love to see what you come up with!
Every year The Poetry Society commissions a poem, welcoming Norway's gift of a Christmas tree to London's Trafalgar Square as part of its Look North More Often project. This year's poem, 'The Christmas Pine', is by Julia Donaldson, author of The Gruffalo and a former children's laureate.
