Can you make a sausage shape from clay – first by making a ball, and then, by applying hand pressure, alter its shape to a sausage, but do not make it too thin.

Can you make a ball of playdough and then alter its shape to a sausage, but do not make it too thin.  Then can you half what you have made and to continue rolling one half of it between your hands to make thin strings.

Now can you use the strings to make a coil pot.
