Welcome to Caiman Class

 

 

Caiman Class is an Autism Specific Class made up of 8 Key Stage 2 children. There are five members of staff, Andrew Mayson the teacher, Annette (HLTA), Jo, Val and Millie.  

The children follow an adapted curriculum appropriate to their individual needs. We follow the TEACCH approach at regular intervals throughout the day. 

The children have regular swimming lessons at Mill House Swimming Pool, Rebound and PE lessons. During the Autumn term the children participated in music lessons provided by Tees Valley Music Service.

Makaton CarPark Karaoke - Wonderful World - Singing Hands

Makaton #WonderfulWorld We do a lot of travelling by car between classes and events - so to pass the time we have fun singing and signing along with our eclectic playlist!. After what seems like months of singing Christmas songs, we were back at work this week so whilst driving about we put together the signs for "Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.

10/10/10 - World Mental Health Day: To support world Mental Health day we have taken part in activities such a relaxation session and going on a sensory walk around the local area.

20.9.19 - PSHE: We have been working with Annette and we have identified and a space in the outdoor area to redevelop. We have worked very hard to create a small sensory garden.
