In PE this half-term we have been working hard to develop our skills in Tennis. The children have really enjoyed using their new skills to compete against each other.
We went to High Tunstall School to take part in learning how to be a good Sports Leader. We tried out lots of new activities and learned that to be a good leader in anything we needed to be patient, show demonstrations, give clear instructions and be encouraging to others.
We have been learning how to measure accurately and we can all now measure in centimetres and metres. We had to estimate the size of objects first and them measure them.
We had a visit from a scientist, he was so fun to watch and let us take part in some really cool experiments.
Dragon Class visited Mary Lamberts bakery on Monday 20th May. We made a variety of different breads, it was lots of fun and the bread was delicious.
London (20th - 22nd November)
Dragon class had a great time visiting London and going to see the Queen's house (Buckingham Palace). We enjoyed visiting many exciting landmarks including Big Ben, London Eye, Downing Street and many more.
We were also invited to take part in a National Panathlon event at the Olympic Stadium.
Our trip included going to the Science museum and visiting the 'Wonder Lab'. All of the children really enjoyed taking part in the interactive challenges.
First Aid - This week we have been learning how to deliver First Aid. We are now able to put on a bandage, check if you are breathing and what to do if someone is choking. ( 5.11.18)
