Autumn

7.11.25 - PE

Today, we went to Throston Sports Hall for the first time to take part in our PE lesson. We continued to work on our ball skills, as well as improving our communication and listening skills.

We have also been working on getting changed independently.

5.11.25 - Bonfire Experience

We have absolutely loved our bonfire experience. We "toasted" marshmallows and watched the fizzy pop fireworks, as well as enjoying a chocolate biscuit sparkler.

5.11.25 - Geography

Panda class went out on the bus to the Burn Valley park to see if we could spot any signs of autumn. We collected some items to bring back to school to explore such as different coloured autumnal leaves, conkers and acorns.

We enjoyed exploring the autumn tray after the lesson in ‘Play in Class’ time.

1.10.25 - Maths

The children love singing our number nursery rhymes. Today, we were the five speckled frogs jumping into the cool pool.

1.10.25 - English and PSHRE

As part of our story 'Which Food Will You Choose?', we tried some different coloured foods. We made choices and expressed our likes and dislikes for the different foods. Blackberries were very popular!

18.9.25 - PE

PE, this week, was all about exploring different types of balls and working together to kick, roll and throw them to our peers.

17.9.25 - Geography

This afternoon, we took the bus to the Dutch Garden Centre to explore the types of plants we might find in autumn. There were many amazing plants but we particularly loved the rainbow coloured ones, which matched our class story all about the rainbow. We had a little smell of the plants and felt the texture. Some were spiky and some were smooth.

The Dutch Garden Centre also kindly donated some plants to us, which we will have fun planting at a later date.

17.9.25 - Maths

This morning, Panda Class took part in a number hunt to see if they could recognise numbers in our environment. Some of us were very good at spotting numbers!

12.9.25 - DT

Pandas enjoyed DT with Annette this week. They worked together to make rainbow cakes by measuring out the ingredients and mixing them altogether.

10.9.25 - Geography

We visited the Headland Park as part of our Geography (familiar places) and to build our communication skills. There were lots of smiles all round!

5.9.25 - Softplay (PSHRE)

3.9.25 - Settling in (PSHRE)

The children have spent time getting to know their new class and exploring the areas. We have seen some lovely sharing.
