We aim to deliver all sessions with pupils on a weekly basis however, there are on occasion due to unforeseen circumstances when we are required to support in class. If this continues for any length of time we will inform parents/carers of the change.
We have all worked for Springwell School for a number of years and we each have had a variety of experience in the different areas of school.
Our role in school is to liaise with parents and carers, teachers, teaching assistants, NHS speech therapists and any other professionals who may be involved with the child.
We currently have many children on our case load and we see them on a 1-1 basis, group therapy and whole class sessions.
These sessions are structured around the assessments which the childs NHS therapist has carried out. We try to make each session fun and engaging, no matter what the objectives are. This way the children are eager to join in and learn new strategies to help them with their communication and understanding without realising.
At the moment sessions include:
And more to be added throughout the year.
We as a team also make resources for around the school, in classes and for home.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on the school number 01429 280600. We will always try our best to help.
