Week beginning 26th January
This week we have been very busy in Lion Class. We started the week with a sensory walk on Monday morning, we worked hard on our physio plans to support our physical development and continued to challenge ourselves with working towards our PLP targets. On Wednesday, families were invited to 'Share a Story' where we engaged in a sensory story all about Space. Keeping with the theme, we made rock buns in Cookery on Thursday and we went shopping to Lidl to explore the sights and smells on offer.
Week beginning 19th January
Lions Class have had another busy week including a bus trip into town, physio and communication activities and our usual therapy sessions. We seem to have had a 'dog' theme in class this week - we had a lovely visit from Joanna from the Library who shared a story about a dog called Jason. We then created our very own paper plate dog and on Thursday, Ronnie the therapy dog came to visit us.
Week beginning 12th January
This week we had our first weekly Storytime session with Pam from the library. We had lots of fun exploring the story props and creating a piece of artwork linked to the story.
We worked hard on our individual targets; Communication and Physical activities have been a big focus, as usual, this week. We ended the week with a special Celebration Assembly where one of our class was awarded the 'Wonderful' award, while others were 'Good as Gold'. Well Done, Lions. What a great week.
Monday 12th January
Today we met Emily's baby on our trip to Hartfield's Retirement Village. We all had a little cuddle from baby Florence! What a cutie!
Thursday 8th January
In cookery today we baked cheddar and onion bread rolls. We made sure our hands were lovely and clean before beginning our lesson and then we got to work!
Wednesday 7th January
With the icy weather preventing us from visiting the library today, we had our own rhythm and rhyme time in class with some children from Anaconda class. We listened to music and picked which instrument we wanted to play.
Tuesday 6th January
What a start to the new year! This morning we spent a short amount of time outside in the newly fallen snow. It was very chilly!
